Board composition and succession
BoardPlan is an online tool that has been created by Govern for Purpose to allow organisations to review its board’s composition and structure and facilitate the development of a succession plan. BoardPlan is not just a tool to build a skills matrix. It is an essential tool to highlight current and future skills gaps and requirements, but also interrogates the full value of each board appointment from many different lenses. We partner with boards over time to ensure board composition reflects the changing needs of the organisation and delivers the maximum value in terms of strategic imperatives.
Board optimisation
BoardScan is a comprehensive, insightful and actionable tool created by Govern for Purpose to assess board structure, effectiveness and improve board performance. It can be tailored to your organisation’s specific needs and typically includes an assessment of strategy and purpose, culture and communication, behavioural integrity, and operating processes. BoardScan will benchmark relative to comparable boards to help illuminate with greater precision what is needed to optimise your board’s performance.
Our framework is aligned to the ASX Corporate Governance Council’s Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations and has been adapted to reflect intelligence accumulated from twenty years of social sector experience with hundreds of social-purpose organisations and their boards.
Director performance evaluations
BoardPerform is a tool created by Govern for Purpose to allow boards the opportunity to reflect on individual Director performance, ultimately improving board performance. It is an assessment conducted through board members providing anonymous feedback on their peers and can be completed as a part of BoardScan or as a stand-alone activity. It can be implemented by the Chair or facilitated by the Govern for Purpose team.
